Fireplace Replacement
The existing wood burning fireplace which is original to the house, is not to code for EPA standards and needs to be replaced.
In searching for a replacement, we found a similar fireplace at Malm Fireplace in Santa Rosa, CA. Malm is a very cool family owned company that has been manufacturing fireplaces in their Santa Rosa, CA facility since 1960.
Although they don’t provide the sales approach this guy from the city is use to, I’ve been won over by their down home approach and their patience in working with us as we worked though city approvals. We also were able to tour their facility and look at their product line and the colors they offer.

This is the fireplace that we are purchasing: The 34” Zircon in flat black. We wanted to purchase a colored fireplace but decided to stick with black as we have to use the existing flu which is not of a standard size.
